Got shoulder pain or dysfunction? Want to learn how to take care of it yourself?
Join Cat Matlock,Founder of The Embodiment Center, West Asheville Yoga, and chronic pain specialist for a workshop to learn how to treat your nagging shoulder symptoms. Cat will begin this class with an anatomy lesson on the shoulder joint and rotator cuff. Participants will learn the main causes of dysfunction in the shoulder and how to address a variety of symptoms including pain, radiating numbness and tingling down to the fingers, aching between the shoulder blades, aching in the arms, a deep ache in the shoulder joint itself, and loss of strength and mobility. Students will be led through a series of rolling practices with therapy balls to release tension and improper “pulling” on the shoulder. After the release, students will move through stretching and stabilizing practices to restore function. Throughout the class Cat will lead specific pranayama breathing practices to calm the nervous system and help ease tension through the whole Self. Check out Cat on YouTube at youtube.com/catmatlock
