In this class, participants will briefly explore the anatomy of sciatica and hip pain and how tensional imbalances in certain muscle groups can cause pain in the hips, outer thighs, buttocks, low back, and down the back or side of the thigh and leg. Cat will start the class with the introduction to the anatomy of the area and then participants will be led in a self care practices to lessen or eradicate their pain with breathing practices, strengthening, therapeutic rolling using foam rollers and therapy balls, and gentle targeted stretching. All therapeutic tools will be available for your use during the class or you are welcome to bring your own foam roller/therapy balls. The set of balls we will use for this practice will be available for purchase after the class should you not have your own at home.
