POSTPONED: Inversions for Tight Shoulders & Neck

March 18 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

POSTPONED due to injury.

Sunday, March 18th 1pm-3pm

Cost: $25

Do you want to do headstand but are afraid you’ll hurt your neck? Does your neck, arms or wrists hurt in shoulder-stand? If so this is the workshop for you. We will learn a variety of ways to do both poses with support so you can safely work on the poses, the actions within the poses and participate in class.

This workshop is appropriate for ongoing students who attend classes where these poses are taught and for teachers who want to be able to help students with these issues. Students will do each of the variations and determine which ones work best for them so they have a strategy to bring to their home practice and class.

This workshop will focus on active approaches and will not include variations using the ropes or the headstand stool. The class size is limited to 10 students so everyone can receive individual attention.

About the instructor:

Cathy Eising began studying yoga in the early 1980’s. While taking classes with Joan White, Senior Iyengar teacher, she became captivated by the Iyengar method. During that time, she had her first experience of wholeness, as the practice stabilized her emotions and opened her mind, on and off the mat. Cathy invites her students to explore the movement, stillness, endurance, and joy of practicing yoga.
